Thoughts

Thoughts are a bugger
They just roam and roam
And roam
Always hungry
You feed them with knowledge
But they’re never happy
Never
(though for transient moments, they sometimes think they are)
In fact, knowledge makes them hungrier
because their tummies grow
and then they get really fat and
full of meaning and bring enlightenment
but still do not rest
still do not shut up
SHUT UP!
Noooo…they still grow and roam
…grow canceriously (not a typo)
…roam endlessly
in the mostly undiscovered realms of
our collective minds
of our collective thoughts.
